Description
Part of a set I am doing of Batman villains as they might have existed in the world of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy (AKA The Nolanverse)
Biography:
Edward Nygma, an obsessive compulsive genius, enjoyed the mental stimulation and thrill he got from being a computer hacker but eventually even that grew a little boring for him. Hearing rumors of the the Dark Knight's brilliance and unparalleled detective skills, he came to view Batman as the ultimate challenge for his intellect. Using his hacker alias, 'The Riddler' Nygma started designing increasingly bold and elaborate crimes to attract the caped crusader's attention and punctuated the crimes with riddles meant to test his intelligence. The riddles soon reached a diabolical level as the solutions to many of riddles would form a riddle of their own, often with two different solutions, one that seemed to be the solution to solving The Riddler's crime but was actually a misdirect, while the less likely solution was the real clue. Despite Batman always proving to be up to The Riddler's challenges, Nygma almost always managed to stay one step ahead, avoiding capture.
