Description

This was my entree for this past year's Holiday Contest. The Theme was "STOCKING STUFFERS". I placed 2nd, it was the first time I had ever entered in the writing contest. I chose the writing contest because I thought it was my best chance at winning the tablet - still... after all these years I'm trying to get one - lol I have now placed in all the contest categories but one - animation... I gotta learn it first - lol... but it is on my bucket list. This story, song, hymn.... carol? whatever you want to call it didn't take but an hour to crank it out... I played with lyrics for days, but when I sat down and started writing, I just went for it. Tried to deliver the mood of that short moment Santa is visiting - hope you like it, enjoy. Twas the Night of the STOCKING STUFFER written December 9th, 2014 Twas pitter patter Upon my roof Twas pitter patter From reindeer hooves The sound awoke me From a restless sleep I sprang to my feet To catch a peek Twas the Stocking Stuffer That came once a year He was the Stocking Stuffer Who flew with the deer He entered my home And how? I did not see His usual entrance Was down the Chimney I let out a snore To make him believe I was still in my bed Counting the zees I came down the staircase So quick but so slow As I got to the bottom I heard his Ho Ho The cookies were crumbs now The milk glass was clear As I ran to the doorway I could sense he was near I opened the door And what did I see? My stocking was stuffed There was no Mr. C INSPIRATION? The word TWAS.... Christmas Carols... thinking of the moment when Santa arrives. Word Count is 155.

Nice work Mike well done!!! I knocked a tablet back for a pressy for xmas from the wife too limited for creative work and not just as powerful as an i7 with a solid state drive 16GB ram when you experience that kinda speed you just got to stick with it bud mind you I have a 6.4inch Sony Z ultra almost a tablet there called Phablets too small to be a tablet too big to be a phone you wonder who comes up with the names eh!! as long as it shows a movie or two while am traveling am a man of simple tastes mike.

Mike, this is without a doubt one of the coolest presentations I've seen in a long time. You did a great job in cranking this out in an hour, and congratulations on the 2nd place finish. So glad to see you back in the gallery, trust me you have been missed.

Yes, we hope to see you regularly in the Renderosity gallery, Mike! Is a tablet necessary? I don't need one... I don't want one : I want to be FREE without a kind of phone/computer/camera bastard in my hands. Not easy to use for each of its possibility.

I don't have to have a tablet.... I want one - lol.... I like how you can draw with your hand on the screen and I've never tried it, but it's another tool to put in the tool box - lol.... I also want a 3D Printer, but I don't know how to make models, so I gotta learn that too.... Animation is another goal I've had for years. .... I guess having a tablet in my eyes would give me more freedom with toys - lol

If I understood what you say, a tablet it's, a little, as a paper sheet and a pencil ??? Welcome in the universe 1D!!! ♥♥♥♥♥ Fantastic creation my friend !!! Si j'ai compris ce que vous dites, une tablette c'est, un peu, comme une feuille de papier et un crayon ??? Bienvenu dans l'univers 1D !!!

HEY!! Congrats - no, BIG Congrats on getting 2nd place, Mike! Glad one of us can get somewhere with these contests at Rendo. I didn't know you wrote prose too - a man of many talents it seems! Too bad they didn't have a tablet (I'm assuming you mean a Wacom type tablet..) as one of the prizes. They are great, especially if you do any painting or drawing in Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or Painter. I used to do all that with a mouse, and I don't know if I could ever go back.. Anyway, I'm glad to see you placed so well in this contest! Way to go, buddy!

Mike - Glad you got the prize for your wonderful lyrics/poem!!! So sad to hear about your computer! You posted the most profound account of your friends passing and how scripture played a role in reassuring his mother of the hope we have in The Lord, The Father, Mother and Child to us all! Yeshua The Alpha and Omega! Grace and Peace! Richard
