Very cool work. Congrats on your one year anniversary as well. Some advise from an old timer: Explore other 3D programs as well, you don't have to master them, but the more tools you have available the faster you will develop your own style. I highly recommend Wings3D ( its free) and you can model your own simple props with it and import them to many different programs. Nice work and welcome to Renderosity.
