My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I remember the shops as a child all had these old fashioned "National" cash registers.

Wow - this is even more beautiful, Tara! I really like the B&W one, but the color version is definitely my favorite of the pair. The color of the brass is so wonderfully warm! I just want to reach out and run my fingers over the filigree... Just stunning!

I'm generally biased in favor of color over b&w & I think I prefer this one too. Aside from the warm brass tones, there's a lot more detail that has emerged from the shadows as well...

well, everybody likes the color over the black and white! I understand. I have to say, though, that I like the black and white better, for the feeling, the mystery and sense of passed or lost time...But the color brings out the beauty of the register more, and your gold and red tones make it quite warm. (The key outlines are warmer too.) I can see why people prefer it...They're both beautiful in any case, and I like when you show two versions of one shot. It's a loving image either way.
