Description

I tried to leave the photo large so you could see everything, but I cannot figure out how to leave it large but reduce it to the *mb size allowed here. I have to scale the size and save at about 90-95% depending on the photo. This is my Uncle's home. Since his death last year, my Mom and I have been taking care of it. I took this photo from about a half mile away. If you look closely you can see a road down from the house. It is a rugged dirt road, that the county grades periodically. Very rural and something I have come to enjoy. I run on these roads when I visit. But I have to be very careful. There is an abundance of wildlife in these mountains, including coyotes, javelinas, mountain lions, gila monsters...and wasps as big as birds...lol. A big thank you to the Renderosity Staff and Moderators for honoring me with the selection of Gallery of the Month, February 2015. I am indeed fortunate to have found Renderosity. Just being able to come here, upload a photo, see other peoples photos, and develop friendships with the people here has made it possible for me to develop my skills. When I first started here, I could barely use my Kodak P880. Since then I have added 2 canons, a rebel and the 70d, to my camera bag. I still have so much to learn, but I enjoy every minute. I have the people here on Renderosity to thank for the encouragement and the willingness to share knowledge, for helping me along my way. Kind regards and *HUGS*, ~Melinda~

What a vista! That house looks so tiny in that huge, open landscape and I love the details and the sense of really massive open scale. This rocks. I like it immensely.

Definitely needs a zoom to bring your uncle's house into prominence, sitting all alone with a dirt road amidst that beautiful terrain, as portrayed in this masterful photo. And, you have to do a lot more purchasing to catch up to as many cameras as I have. Congrats on the award.
