Description
Reread H.Rider Haggard's novel, "She".There are some great themes in this 19th century fantasy adventure. As a young student in art school my reading of it was just so so. But now I realize that this guy really had something to say, so much so that Carl Jung considered it his favorite book. So I took another look and decided to do this drawing. Hope you enjoy it!!!!!

Awesome work man, I read somewhere that since the first printing of the story it has never been out of print, almost 130 years that's quite a feat. Peace

Your drawing is very intriguing, as well as interesting (I think you name is 'Louis'). Anyway it's also a very good painting, and I'm asking myself if you made it with real crayons, of by p.c.? Everything is so beautifully interwoven, the face on the left, as well as the mask. Unfortunately, since I suffer from PTSD (since about 15 years), I can't read, or at least only very short pieces, because I have such extreme pain in my face. It is 'a shame', because one of my passions was reading, and in particular I love psychoanalytic work, authentic, or in any other way with a lot of depth. I know, both C.Jung, as S. Freud read this writer. His books are not published in Dutch, so anyway it would not be easy to read. Bravo for your artistic view.
