Found this cute Hoverfly the other evening on a small tree in the yard. Was hoping to get a few shots of it, but after one shot with the flash, it took off. At least the only shot was in focus :-) Great weekend to all. Thanks for looking. -Bruce

Excellent job! That it reacts to the flash shows the little critter feels fear and thus has feelings, something one doesn't usually attribute to insects. Amazingly intricate design. Keep up the good work! :-)

Great shooting. You obviously know what you are doing to get a perfectly focused and lit up shot in your first go. It could be luck, but seeing your other work I am betting long odds on practice and skill. The pure black background is an excellent choice as it really makes the critter pop.
