I had my picture taken with an adult male lion when I was younger in Mississippi while I was visiting family. The lion laid his head on my lap while I scratched him behind the ears. He was acting just like a kitten. I never realized how big lions were until that day. I could not get my arm around his neck, my hand reached his ear on the other side, that is the ear I scratched ;-)! Wish I could find that picture.

I will if I find it but it's been years ago and probably lost forever. That lion must have been the gentle giant because there were a lot of other types of cats there but you could only take your picture with the lion, even the smallest of them all the bobcat was off limits! It cost me $15.00 dollars back in the early 1990's.
