Sages had the best strawberry pie. This is also well said.

It's so sad. My favorite book store (Pocket Book Store) went bankrupt due to the new fad of purchasing books sight unseen via the Internet. The owner was fantastically knowledgeable and could get me everything I requested. One book took 2 years in the obtaining. Now, nothing. And 2 great, knowledgeable fellows out of work for 3 years. I recall visiting Mobile, Alabama, 1992, for a conference. The whole downtown was boarded up businesses. I wonder where all those shop keepers went. Sad, so sad. Good photo and good text commemorating a once thriving local business. Keep up the good work! :-)

I wish that I had lived in such a time when a pleasant family walk to an ice cream parlor was the thing to do. Something has been lost along the way. Now we just stand in line at Starbucks and if you try to say hi to a stranger, they look at you like your a nut.
