Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Hehehe! I know how Ralphie feels, as you know, I am up late nights to meet with honey, so I feel like that around eleven when I rise, and my breakfast is about midday hehe!

A terrific capture of your dogs, the tonal qualities are beautiful, esp on Fritz; and the overall flow is beautiful too. As is the mix of very dog-like expressions. A terrific addition to an already terrific series (ie, your dog shots). They look like they're waiting for breakfast rather than finished with it---except for Ralphie, who looks like he had way too much. Beautiful capture of your dogs. (I studied your books back there: This must be your nature and garden section---lots of titles on flowers and birds. I have no idea what "Mint 1997 to 2002" means, and I might be intruding bigtime by even pondering. But I assume it's either: You grow a lot of mint, and these are the birth records, marriage, divorce and death certificates; you own a ton of money somewhere ((a mint---I assume you have that expression for money, in Britain)); these are mint photos, prints, documents; or---this is rich---they're actual 'mints' which you thought so precious, you catalogued them and kept them in white boxes, and sorted them accdg to date. I think the latter's unlikely...In any case I'm snooping, so I'll stop. The other thing is: If I told people that I just had my "morning chew," I think they'd start to be very concerned...)
