Description
This is my cat, her name is Grey Kitty, she is 21 years old, still pretty healthy so the vet says but she has lost her sight. But you would never know she was blind if you see her. As long as I don't rearrange the furniture! Her sister made it to 18 years so I guess they have a pretty good gene pool. I'm hoping for at least 25 years. The vet said it is rare to see cats this old. But I believe the world record was 38 years. She can still jump up on the bed and down off the bed. But sleeps most of the time, until she hears me opening a can of food! She would weigh 30 pounds if I let her! And lucky for her she still has all her teeth at the last tooth cleaning she had.

Beautiful photo of your "octogenarian"! And very nice background to match her fur. Luck you! 5 cats - how do they get along together? I have one and Kitty's enough to keep me busy (1 ½ years old). Keep up the good work! :-)

Oh they fight like children at times! Mostly my two males, they like to pick on the others. They are a little crazy, but that's just one of the things I love about them, they have attitude! Most of the time if I tell them to be good boys they will stop, although they don't want to!

You are blessed with a beauty.a good age & very good he still has his teeth. my one of my cats died last year he was 17yrs old but suffered with diabetes,I had him put to sleep which nearly killed me to do,I will never know if i did the right thing or not ,as he had a very strong will to live but wasn't eating,I had to feed him with a syringe,which i hated doing & i think he didn't like me to do it either,I had 2 other cats but they died of old age 14 & 13,they are all buried under my tree in the garden with cat statues.I have one left who is this year 14.he is doing well.he sleeps a lot.but his state of health is excellent,he loves to play especially with ping pong balls,touch wood we have him a long time yet.they are always in our hearts & do become part of the family.

Wow she is amazing and very beautiful too, still her own teeth is remarkable for a cat this age. You certainly know how to look after your cats well, I hope she reaches that target of 25yrs, and by the way she looks now she could do that too. hugs Jane xx

Beautiful old girl. I love the texture of this photo and how her fur coat seems to compliment the cozy couch. My previous cat lived till 19 years old, she was a great cat and I still miss her. My current kitty is seven and is a fiesty hunter. I wish I could get more cats but this one has almost killed every kitten I have tried to bring home. She is the ruler of the house and that is that. Good on you for taking such good care of Grey Kitty. Good genes are fundamental but a caring mistress is vital.
