Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

This is different! Apparently it has become an offence to take pictures of any one now without their consent.

Only revenge porn, Jeff "It covers images shared on and offline without the subject's permission and with the intent to cause harm. Physical distribution of images will also be covered." "The new English and Welsh law classes revenge porn as "photographs or films which show people engaged in sexual activity or depicted in a sexual way or with their genitals exposed, where what is shown would not usually be seen in public"."

Fantastic post work done on these wonderful photos Andrea. Thanks for sharing !

Some very dynamic post work. The other image is also very cool. On the subject of photographing people, the courts have just determined that up skirt photos are not an invasion of privacy so the perverts are now free to take pictures under women's dresses.

Love the comments---on photo law, Marks' comment, and apparently one person hates hot chocolate! (How can you hate hot chocolate?) As a fan of high key work, I can't help but get really excited about this. The high key in the background is a terrific contrast. And your radiation hues in the foreground, and on the two side people, totally fits, to me. Part of the image's wildness comes from reflections in the window, which superimpose a table on the back of that man, along with other stuff. And you've "framed" the shot with the inner walls of the window, so it it appears to have a physical frame. I also love the white spoltches on the ground---they look like big splotches of paint. I love this treatment; and as for the blues and yellows on the left-person's jeans: Someone, I'm sure, will snarf it up as a new style. ("Day-glo, by Ralph Lauren"...) Wild and lots of fun.

Hot Chocolate should warm them up (they look cold) love the semi psychedelic postwork - the FlickR version did not come up for me!
