Description
After a short chat with the staff, we came to the conclusion ' you can't build Japanese aircraft without including a 'Betty' '. So we set to work and a rather nice G4M1 took shape....then the problem....engines, Japanese aircraft engines are not so easy to come by. The Betty was parked in the lower paddock and I made some fruitless phone calls. In desperation I phoned Izoruku, manager of the Mitsubishi Dealership, Snotting on the Wold branch, est. 1925. " Yes! how many do you want?" was his reply. It turns out they had quite a surplus at the end of WWII, and not really much call for them since......now this raises an obvious question.....but I wasn't going there, I was just glad to have a supplier. In fact, I was SO glad......we built a G4M2 as well. Now that's parked in the lower paddock too, the engines should arrive first thing in the morning to round these off.....and then
