Description

Special Notes: I don't know if anyone remembers this. This was the very first Zam, it was called 'A Boy and his Dinosaur'. Zam didn't actually get his name for another month or so after this first drawing. I was doing a comic that absolutely nobody on Rendo ever looked at. I thought this site was dead and after posting about twenty of the Sam comics without any responses, I gave up and left for two years, thinking this was a dead site. I stumbled on the site again two years later and drew this comic, and got a bazillion responses. I changed the name of Sam to Zam, and everyone loved him. Poor Sam died a lonely and horrible death. BTW, my dogs are named after that original comic. Sam and Katie.

You certainly found the right spot, literally (here at Rendo) and figuritively (in the art), S'Z'am was exceptional right from the start, I often find myself thinking he is flesh and blood, you make him so real! Only a handful of people have been able to do that!
