Description

This is a shot of Brixham Harbour in South Devon. Just to the left of where I am standing is the Golden Hind of Sir Francis Drake fame. Worth a zoom.

Superb, Jeff! We have just had the lowest spring tides I've seen for ages.

Apparently Sir Francis Drake used to like to 'swan around' when he wasn't sailing. Sorry about that 'ducky'! The tidal zone is amazing.

The tide rise is really amazing; seems surreal to see all these boats on the sand! Wonderful shot!

First of all this is a great capture!!! But, does this happen all the time? if so, I wonder it the boats sustain any damage.

I think the flotilla is going to be late to its destination. We don't see tides like this in California. A superb black and white image.

A superb and clear shot and the Seagulls must have found lots of delicacies with that low tide, so much so, they are taking a 'nanny-nap' now ! BTW - we have had just the highest king-size tides, with the 'TC-Marcia' on the Gold Coast and 'TC-Lam' in the Northern Territory ... but all is well now, only regular showers and still lovely and warm ;)) BB
