Description

We have had a little visitor, we haven't seen it but we know we have. It started a few weeks ago when we noticed that bags of crisps that we keep in the garage, in a bag hung high up on the wall had been torn open. We thought they were getting split in the factory & just threw the damaged bags away. As I replenished the bag with crisps the same thing was happening, so I decided to take all bags out of the bag where we kept them & just leave one packet in. Sure enough next morning the pkt was open, so I selotaped the hole & put the bag back. I suspected a mouse BUT there was no evidence of a mouse or any critter. Yep next morning the packet was open. So we moved everything in the garage & did find some evidence of a mouse, so everything was cleaned & the only place it could have got in was under the garage door so that has all been sealed up. We all decided that there was no way we wanted the critter to be killed & Mr. Buck was not going to get the chance of a hunt. When I saw the stoat yesterday morning carrying a mouse I really did hope it wasn't our visitor. We feel sad that we have taken his/her source of food. We know s/he prefered crisps as I had some bags of the girls treats in there & they hadn't been touched :o)))) We will see if our visitor ever returns!!!! Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxx

You have to protect yourself, they do carry disease, and with everything happening in the world; you have to be very cautious with rodents.

As much as I love animals, I don't want mice in our house. We had them in our old house when the one next door was empty. Every day when I came home from work, I had to disinfect all the worktops and cupboards where it was obvious that they'd been. They DO carry disease including salmonella.

I'm sure with Mr. Buck he will track this mouse down given half the chance but I doubt if the mouse would survive such a meeting with him. Outside chance the Stoat got it?.
