Description

Zara awoke from a deep sleep, with a feeling of dread. She sensed danger, evil. She lay there in bed waiting for her eyes to adjust to the darkness of the bedroom, listening for any noise out of place. But her apartment was quiet. Too quiet. There was no one in her apartment, but she still felt the danger. She quietly got out of bed and searched the apartment anyway, to be sure there was no one. And no one there was. Her apartment was the same as she left it when she had gone to sleep. But the feeling of doom loomed over here, blanketing her senses with such peril. But it was so quiet. She could hear if there were anyone in the next apartment moving around, but everyone else was still asleep. With the feeling of dread, the silence weighed down on her, telling her to be wary. And that's when she realized why it was so quiet. At this time of morning, she usually heard the love birds out on the terrace, but now she heard nothing. Zara slowly walked to the terrace door. She carefully pulled back the curtain and looked out. It looked almost like a normal morning, with the typical cloudy fog blanketing the cloud city. But the fog was not its usual appearance. It seemed alive with menace, dark tendrils of its fog roiling about. The fog was hiding the terror that she felt pressing down on her. She grabbed her bow and quiver of arrows, and slid the door open, stepping onto the terrace. The morning light played upon the fog, lighting up the swirling tendrils of fog that swayed between the buildings of the city. But Zara could see where the fog seemed to breathe with life near the bridge between the two apartment buildings. She quietly walked towards the bridge. As she neared the bridge, she began to smell brimstone. She looked out between the buildings and saw a gray shadow, billowing up. Could something be on fire? As she walked out to the center of the bridge, she kept an eye on that smoky shadow, trying to catch a glimpse of any fire. But that shadow was not smoke. It did not float like smoke. It was alive, and it was the center of her feeling coming danger. The shadow ebbed and flowed against the fog, coming closer. Soon it took shape. It was not smoke from a fire. Hellborn comes, and Zara was the only one who could possibly save the City .
