Nice start, but here's a couple of things you might try to make it look better, first I'd turn all the ambience off or way down and just use lights/sun. That will give you better shadows, and a less washed out look. Turning off the haze would also help for a picture like this that doesn't need it. Also try using a terrain as the ground instead of a ground plane. The dragon looks pretty kewl!
