What I actually use Strata for - it's a perfect app for illustrating components of machinery (I think).

i work on a lot of machinery in a food processing plant [french-fries] and this is great awesome job i just hate working on the stuff...8=]

dandavis - I did get a couple of DXF files from our engineering dept. - all 2D whick I import into Illustrator. These give me the basic outline for the frame of the machine, but the rotor, motor, screen, hydraulics, etc. aren't in the drawings.
