Description

This is an area known as The Amphitheater (Can't imagine how they came up with that name.) Taken in the late afternoon when the colors are most intense.

Breathtaking. I'm glad the road is there, I had no idea of scale without it.

I'm thinking of Socrates or Plato with a good sound system talking to the eager students in this area...... Beautiful

This is really a mind-boggling view, the sheer size of it and then those sharp-looking peaks - like a former big crater, majestic indeed ! I wonder where the road would finally lead to ?- maybe there is only one way in and no way out ;(( the colours remind me of Central Australia with 'Uluru' - but that is where it stops ... a mesmerising and striking view Mark BB

It really looks like an ancient Greek theater, and apparently The play has petrified the whole audience! Excellent capture,Mark!

I stood at the same vantage point. I think this view is among the best in the park
