Description

A malfunctioning B-29 Superfortress is escorted back to base by two P-51 Mustangs. Not much to this idea but an attempt at a different point of view from the sea. B-29 Superfortress: Excellent model by Neiwil generously free at sharecg. Thanks Neil. (no holes in this one.) Addition of some specular maps etc. P-51D Mustang: Another beauty from Neiwil also available for free at sharecg. Some texture adjustments. P-51B Mustang III: Free some years ago at GFX with some texture mods. ROC Gunboats: Really cool model ships from sketchup warehouse by Xiuyuan B. These boats really stand out because of the modelers very careful use of textures. Impressive to say the least. Gunboat sailors: Domus free character sporting some of Tryphon's RN uniforms. Man overboard!!...they're all so busy watching the planes they've missed the poor so and so who got this great pov... I'll bet there's some sweating and straining going on at the controls of that B-29, even when you're not shooting holes in things, you don't give anyone an easy ride :-) Very cool image Bill, 10/10+ and a fave...

Hard to find pics and stats on ships of the Chinese Navy in the 1930's, but I think one of these two is the Gunboat Ming Chuen. Both of these gunboats are different gunboat models.

Nice composition and render Bill..but what I love the most is the ship riding the swell on the right. I can almost see the motion and your texturing of it is just terrific. While I like the storyline, I can also imagine this with the planes. Another fine work Bill.
