Description
Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among young people ages 10 to 24
LGBT youth are 4 times more likely, and questioning youth are 3 times more likely, to attempt suicide as their straight peers.
Each episode of LGBT victimization, such as physical or verbal harassment or abuse, increases the likelihood of self harming behavior by 2.5 times on average.
If you or someone you know is being bullied or has witnessed bullying, please takes steps to stop it, and report it.
One simple act of kindness can change a life.

Wonderful image and message! I was one of those skinny, little kids that was bullied throughout my school years until my 9th grade when I finally turned around to the bully who was shoving his books into my back as we walked down the hallway. I was furious and had enough as I suddenly threw my books to the floor, whipped around, reached up and grabbed him in a headlock. Off course the kids in the hallway were cheering the whole thing on when the teachers had to separate us. The bully was turning purple as I was so angry I hadn't realized I was practically choking him to death. Once I had him, I was too afraid to let go! The bullies stop bothering me in school since that day as they thought I might be crazy enough to kill them. :-D

Amen to that. Luckily an act of kindness like in your picture, the Trevor Project, the pay-it-forward and "It Gets Better" movements do have some power to mitigate the visciousness of youth. I thought it was normal to be suicidal at 17... Wasn't until many years later I realized it wasn't so. Very well done piece.

As long as the principle of "divide and conquer 'the dominant social doctrine is, as long as you judge people according to usefulness, as long as one to an image of an Homo Superior is polishing ... Is it simply impossible to eliminate those violations of humanity.
