Description
This gull seemed to be unconcerned about the wave about to bear down on it...
For those who viewed or commented on my last post yesterday ("Wool Over Eyes"), I just wanted to pass along the fact that I was conducting a little experiment. I pulled my grandson (& his shadow) from one photo & blended it into the background of a completely different photo. The two photos were taken in completely different locations on different days & I wanted to see how realistic I could make it (in the original photo, he was standing on an ugly 4x8 piece of plywood that someone had dumped on the beach). I ended up splitting him & his shadow onto different layers & spent a significant amount of time trying to get the shadow in particular to look somewhat convincing. Since nobody mentioned anything, I assume it worked reasonably well?

I like the depth in this photo and that sea foam will move the gull out of there. I still like the ""Wool Over Eyes" creation and I still think it will be a favorite some day!
