Description
A Winter Evening in the City
The sky billows with winter clouds
city folk bustle in hollow crowds
shivering in dwindling daylight
racing to surmount the dark of night
All are governed by Destiny
but what Fate holds they cannot see
shrouded in winter's canopy
the pageant shuffles pointlessly

and with the nightfall comes some dread on my tires, enough Tread? the gas is pressed, then pray for luck Oh My God, the car is stuck! A frantic call home the fingers are numb Why didn't I listen? I am so dumb! The chains are hanging by the garage door with care They do me no good just hanging there.

The sun is warm, Sweat upon my brow, The spa is too hot, must lower the temperature, A glass of ice tea would be nice, I would light the BBQ, but it's too warm, Maybe some ice cream, got some in the fridge, To heck with this brutal sun, Inside to AC I must go, Turn on the T.V. Images from out east, Looks chilly, Change the channel and watch something else. :)... Gotta write whatca know... I'm being bad. Seriously, wonderful poem, I could just feel the clouds of snow whipping around me. Fantastic Work. You have an excellent way with words... always a pleasure to read your work.
