Description

Found this while Spring cleaning today, small, as it was to have been part of a multi-panel D-day image last year....that fell by the wayside, for one reason and another. I'll no doubt make up for it this year, in the mean time it seemed a waste not to post this. One of my moonlight backgrounds and C-47, paras are Apollo Max and adh3d's US Airborne gear and very good it is too...

Neil, I think this is awesome! I like the drama and the "slice" of an event. The moonlight is great.I'm glad you share d thisone!

Definitely an unusual image, Neil. Moonlight jump is very creative and I love D-Day paint schemes on allied aircraft. Nice one.

Been there, done that... although, it was almost 40 years later and nobody was shooting at me. Marvelous image!

Nice one! Though still have reservations about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.

Shame- excellent piece of work. I can imagine why it fell by the wayside though- life happens!

Excellent job, Neil. The moon light really gives this an eerie flavour. I'd be dead scared jumping at night - you never know if you drop right into the path of a wing or worse, whirling propeller! I'm afraid I'll have a hard time falling asleep tonight! So very real looking. However, keep up the good work. I hope a Guinness stout will help the sleep problem! :-) Now, where's the darned 6 on the rating scale?
