That's a great shot of a Redpoll with their distinctive little red hats. Great use of DoF to really make her stand out even against what must have been a very cluttered background.

NIKON D4S Shutter Speed 1/1000 second Aperture F/9.0 Focal Length 400 mm ISO Speed 320 Date Taken Mar 8, 2015, 5:11:35 PM She was only about 10 feet away, the spruce behind her were fairly close actually but due to how close the bird was to me it was enough to blow out the BG somewhat. Next time I go out I will shoot a few at f2.8 - f3.5.
