Description

As some know I've been revising my Owl model. Now 5 years old, it's showing it's age more than some of my other models so I'm revising some geometry and trying to throw in (where possible) some of the technology I've used in the Waterfowl and Birds of Prey projects. I've also simplified the material list.To answer one question I know that will come up... yes, my updates are always free. In any case, here's a peek at the revised African Barred Owlets... Owlets are found in the owl family and are smaller than most owls (pygmy owls being the smallest species). This owlet is found found in Angola, Botswana, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Somalia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Most frequently, it is found in woodland and forests, and on forest edges. It may also occur in more open savannah and along rivers. Prefers woodlands, with sparse undergrowth, usually with a river or stream nearby. It eats mostly insects and is locally threatened in the Eastern Cape of Africa. Rendered in Poser 2014 with minor postwork. Model included are several of DinoRaul's Tree sets (which I highly recommend), Flink's Skydome (sunsets) and Songbird ReMix Owls(currently under revision)

This is delightful - you have created such lovely owls. Great posing too - capturing the way esp. young ones peer at things (I understand that owl's near-vision is very poor but their far-vision is really good?). Thanks for making my day!
