xlt, thanks for sharing weather conditon here (the Netherlands) was very bad total overcast :((( but I've seen a total eclipse in central Turkye in 2006

The most impressive one I ever saw was the full eclipse on 11th August 1999! There was this WOW effect when the moon totaly covered the sun... :-)

I am in GB I went outside to look but bad overcast here but I do remember one back in the late 50s I wasin the play ground at school Many thanks for showing your photo of the event
