Okay then, since you asked so nicely. I continue with my theme of The Doomsday Machine as Moby Dick in Space. The machine itself is a character in much the same way as the lorry in Duel is a character in its own right. A force of nature in itself maybe. And here comes Cap'n Ahab with his harpoon!
