Mark has been one of my best friends for many years now, for which I am so very grateful. He is one of the kindest and most warmhearted persons I know, so I feel lucky and honoured to be one of his friends.
Mark has an amazing gallery here in Renderosity. So much is going on there. Fantastic artwork the traditional way. He can do postwork from his own gorgeous photographs, that is so stunning, that it is well worth coming back to again and again. Wonderful Digital art, which takes your breath away..... And today is Marks Birthday. :-)
Happy Birthday, dear Mark and many many more Happy Birthdays in the future. Hope this day will be full of love and light. :-)))

Helle, it's beautiful, and filled with spring imagery with all the flowers and budding branches and lights. But it's also got winter in it, which is true to the season, because winter is still slowly giving way to spring...it's kind of a miraculous time of year for that reason, and that's what this collage feels like to me. It also has all your magic with collage and montage---the textures, the way you bring them together, designs that look like they come from your life (it looks like you have placemats and lace here), at least one of your drawings (that tree on the top, which I always loved), and your skeletal leaves (another theme in your work that I also love), and of course a shot of the Chicago skyline, with a sunburst on top and those textures, flowers, pastels, etc. (And the geese---that photo was taken with your Nikon!) It's beautiful and transformative, and done with your magic and love. I feel the same way about you, as you know, and I'm endlessly grateful to have you in my life. Thank you, It's magical. And thank you for your wonderful friendship, once more Helle. It's a beautiful gift.

This is really, truly amazing! I love collages, and this is one of the best I've seen: and I can see some similarities to the work Mark does. Oh, your work is totally different, but you capture the same feeling, that same kind of light, and I love the way everything is arranged: it's a bit like looking at a dream, or maybe at memories, or a little bit of both. This is really stunning, it looks almost like something woven! What a dedication and Happy Birthday Mark!
