Description
Prolific contributor, Adrie, has delighted many folk over the years with her creations. This is a tribute to her father, Rheinhard Carl Albert Stark. The original background image an old render of mine, similar to the coastline of Northern Ireland ( rendered in Vue Complete some years ago ); four hand drawn and scanned Celtic illuminated capital letters ( based on letters from the Dover Pictura site ); letters digitally worked ( using Auto FX's old Dream Suite program ); all composed in Serif PagePlus X8 publishing program. A little experimentation in technique, but a good learning process. The full image, up on facebook, weighs in at 13.5 Mb and is in .png form.
I hope that you enjoy, and if your father has gone before you, think and pray for him too. God bless and good evening from an unnaturally sunny Scotland ( missed the near complete eclipse the other day because of heavy cloud.)

what a delightful work with wonderful and artful letters! gives me some moments to breath away all sorrows and pain ;o) you composed a marvelous tribute! I am very glad that you are back, dear John, and I hope you feel ok and you have less work now. Last week started the new serie Outlander on tv of the 8 books I read from the author Diana Gabaldon, whos highlandsaga is a bestseller! The story: A married woman living in the years of the second worldwar is fallen through a stone of a stonecircle in scotland and finds herself in the year 1850, working as a healer now and there she found her second love in a Highlander Jamie Frazer. (A lot of historie like the culloden battle and much more) Seeing the movie now we got homesick and planed to come back to scotland in 2017, so god will. This year we booked holidays to the faroer islands and next year we are going to explore ireland, sothwestcoast. Hope to see more of your work and send you many blessings from rainy germany! ;o)

Thank you for your kind comments. It is nice to hear from you again, Rita. My wife died suddenly four weeks ago, and I am presently living at my daughter's home, and looking after a neighbour's big dog. My parish, church and hall duties are now being carried out by others. My family tells me that I have to do less, because the stress was getting to me. I pray and walk in the presence of the Lord, and my tender wife too, now . May God bless and keep you and your loved ones, my dear friend. From a dry, but cloudy south Lanarkshire. John.
