Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

OH MY! How terrible to buy a dog and not care for him, to lock him up and leave him there alone all day. Poor little thing, I am really glad he got a really home now.

This dog doesn't need any silly costumes. He already has his own fur coat.Great show of these 2.

He looks lovely now, lucky boy. CLOTHES on dogs are one of my pet hates unless it is a coat to keep dry if needed.

A very lucky little dog and he looks so smart now.

Aw what a fantastic capture of Susie and Max. Sounds like Max is going fit in just fine, as that cute little smug on his face say it all. Smiles..

Nice to see a Yorkshire terrier, remember as a kid we had a yorkie/corgi cross, one of a litter which rest of the family had and they all had names like Peko, Pepe, Pancho and Pedro etc.

they both look wonderful! I'm glad that Susie and your son rescued Max. I really wonder about those people who 'dress' their pets (dogs or cats) ((all fine for a little girl to play dress-up but not an adult))

Well your DIL certainly seems happy. Good for them for rescuing this little guy. There is an ongoing controversy in this country as to whether pit bulls are dangerous. I say nonsense! Pit bulls are not dangerous, their owners are.

I totally agree with everything you said there!

I love your rant Andrea, so refined, if it were me it'd be far more cutting, and to her face too, I hope she never gets another pet, AND I am so thoroughly pleased that he now has Mark and Susie to take care of him, what an idiot that women, A CAGE? I think this morose S**T bag should be put in a cage. Clothes on dogs is a grossly stupid idea, they need to wash bits and pieces often.

Glad he's been rescued and restored to the proper care of people who know how to give him what HE needs! Poor baby.
