Description
I was playing around with DOF and a technique for achieving water reflection. Used Stonemason's environment, and a flat plane primitive. The flat plane is where I tried to mimic a water reflection..
I'm sort of playing around with different technical things lately. DOF, reflections, LAMH, etc. This scene was originally built in 4.6, and during the process of getting LAMH to work, I ended up removing DS entirely and re-installing from scratch.. which of course left me with the updated 4.7. I opened the scene up again recently and tried to do a little more work on it.
I did use AOA's ambient lighting (the Advanced Ambient). Mostly, though, this was a test to see what sort of results I could produce with the water reflections and a DOF camera. The two older figures are both M4's, the younger one is a Genesis 1.
The scene itself has to do with Blake's background... no text to go with it this time, he hasn't let me actually write it out yet. He just sort of stuck the picture in my head, and while making it, I just decided to test out the reflection and DOF techniques. I'm more or less happy with how the image came out. DS seems to pull off DOF with nicer results than Poser ever did. It's not perfect, but it's not bad for a first try with a DOF camera, I suppose.
Postwork was extremely limited. I added the frame and my signature, and did a very slight de-saturation of the colors. That was about it.
