Description
this is where I cut the tree down last year. the grass is growing and I have mowed twice. the first time I was walking in water from all the water from snow and rain
no idea as to what grass it is.

To come in that quick and splothy growth it might be a form of crabgrass! Kill it and plant some good seeds just to be sure! Of course try to get a profressional opinion first.
