Description
When I started working on this piece, I was quickly reminded of some of the work of one of my favorite painters, Edward Hopper. The colors and subject matter brought reminders of "The Lee Shore", "Ground Swell", and "The Martha McKeen of Wellfleet" Of all of those, "Groundswell" is probably my favorite.
Stratford Shoal Lighthouse: By Gaetan036. It was free, and I think I got it on Rendo, but the mists of time have erased some details. Anyway, terrific model with intricate details, very nice.
Black Jack sloop: By Goran Abramovic, generously free on sharecg. Sexed up a bit in the drydock out back (textures etc.)
Figures: Predatron's Lorenzo and Loretta low rez figures

Excellent ! really like everything about this, the green in the bow wave adds a lot to the realism...the boat 'heeling' over gives a great feeling of it rounding the point and the young lady on land begs the question " are they arriving after the voyage or just setting out ?". Hopper is one I know, a diverse artist...currently popular with photographers recreating his character studies...... particularly his nudes....I guess they'll always be popular.....Great work Bill 10/10+

I opened this assuming it was going to be another wonderful aircraft composition, instead we have this nicely crafted mix of wind, shoreline and ship.. very nice Bill.
