this was a messy blast. we threw milk, buttermilk and cream at Happy Jenna. Even though it was cold. So what do you think? This is a quick put together, so its not perfect or refined yet. just the first one done, had to share.

Not certain I understand the connection between the milk and the sword but this is a great action shot.

About that sword, we are getting experience with working with milk before our paying client steps into the basins. She is a fencer wanting some shots with her sword in this position. Not having a fencing sword, this was the closest I had. While this is fun, there is a lot of things we need to watch for when we do the client, like, milk running down the leg. but for my very first attempt of the photoshoot and the post work, I am reasonably happy with it.

Personally, I think it is great, especially for a first try (with milk). It looks like a one sleeved shirt and a skirt, almost Kilt like or sudden hip movement. You all did a good job at missing the sword, unless you cleaned it up with post-work.

Thanks, we were careful with the sword, you can see some milk running down it but we missed it it all the big splashes. The postwork we did was to meld the splashes in, I had not gotten further as you can see by the legs, we have a set of clean legs i have not added to the image yet.

this is an image where you need to play with postwork to get it HOT... if you have a picture of her before the splashing, then you can clone (paint) the splashings on that photo... so all the private parts show off. Her expression is nice, but it could be so much more exciting if you painted the expression she gets from the cold chill of the milk... love the splash at mid level, makes me think of a dress.

You do amazing work, Mark!!! What type of camera did you use to capture the droplets in mid air and the splashes across her skin? Did you use a single frame from a video or some type of multi-burst shot? This may be one of the most interesting shots I've seen you post!!! ...just from the physics of the materials used and their interaction with your model!!! I really like this and hope you'll do more of this type of photography!!! Don't get me wrong...I love beautiful women in their birthday suits, but there is something about this photo that requires more than just a passing glance!!! This is thought provoking...just in the fluid dynamics as the milk flies through the air and hits her skin. Wonderful shot!!! Very Good!!! 5+++++ :)

Hi and thanks. The camera is the canon 1dx shooting at 160th of a second f13. The freezing of the droplets is not so much a function of the camera but of the flash unit. Very few units can fire at a high enough speed. My profotos for example are to slow. On a larger print you can see the blur trail of the droplets, In the water shots its presented more as an effect than a problem. For this I needed the razor sharp droplets. We borrowed and rented Einsteins. We have four play. One in a 6 foot umbrella beauty dish feathered. two soft boxes at the back for rim light and a hair light which was a covered beauty dish.
