Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Okay...now this is...well...um...well: it's something you don't see every day, now is it? And it's priceless! So many choices! Not much privacy though. This is one of those super fun shots that I can tell was just begging to be taken.

a terrific capture, a total surprise, and I love it. BUT---I'll leave a better, more detailed comment later today or tonight. I originally had much more time, and planned a long session here, as the capper to this morning. But things have suddenly come up. But I'll be back soon: I'll do a longer comment on this, and comment on other stuff too. I hope you're having a fine day out there in God's country, and I'll be back here soon!

I'm glad RR allows us to comment on our comments, so I don't have to erase my original one, above. This is priceless. I love this. Great choice by Marcos, and a great shot by you. As a shot, it's striking because of all the white with those harsh deep black shadows---just visually, it's a really grabbing shot. But the fact that those are toilets, and then marcos with his jacket and scarf---somehow the scarf makes it look like he's wearing a cape (the jacket is behind him, which helps), which makes it look like the Caped Crusader took a little rest on a toilet! And, in the middle of a parking lot??? Man, it don't get much better than that. With the two dogs relaxing...a great people shot, and great you caught it. (Really, if you ever get to see a sight like this again, take 2000000000 shots of the toilets, with or without marcos and you, because they make a great visual. No kidding. ((I was gonna say "no s__t," but I don't want to get you taken off the site for a vulgar pun.))) A great shot of Marcos and of the toilets. Bravo.
