Description
You can see it from miles away, three white pillars. Next to the Glen Canyon Dam it is arguably the most prominent landmark in Page, Arizona. And so, as I drove down from Bryce Canyon, I knew I was near my destination when I saw the three great plumes produced by the coal-fired Navajo Generating Station. It is a 2250 megawatt powerplant that sits on land leased from Navajo Nation and provides energy to parts of Arizona, Nevada and California. It currently has approval to operate until December 11, 2044.

Great capture, it has an excellent comp. and a wonderful light! I think that when they have to close, they can use wind power instead.
