Description
[Continues an intermittent series of renders loosely based on Stephen Hunt's Jackelian series of novels. Nothing is directly from the novels, but the images might evoke some characters and some events.]
A heavily laden wagon driven by the hurrying passerby who gave Gaunt and Tin Rivets directions earlier, and carrying a well-dressed ursine passenger, pulls up dockside, interrupting the on-deck conversation.
"And our last passenger, with our cargo arrives. Welcome, Ambassador."
"Ex-ambassador, dear boy. No offense to your fine u-boat, but if I were still the ambassador I'd be travelling in high style by airship."
I'd wanted to move time further into the night for this render but I liked the silhouetting against the sunset sky
The driver is M4 in the Steampunk Cowboy outfit from DAZ, Jonnte's Steampunk Cap, a modified Southern Steam holster and my own Pepperbox pistol prop. The Pericurian ambassador is the M4 Freak with the head from ArctodusDR (DinoRaul) wearing the Wanted DOA outfit and M4 Pirate boots (DAZ). The steamman is built from the RDNA Steam armor, the Arcebus Torpedo, and Jonnte's Steampunk Protective Mask and Steampunk Hat. The rifle is Cybertenko's Lewis Rifle. The seaman running up to help unload the wagon is Mateo (WildDesigns) with the Master Skull Cap hair and Mr. Solo outfit, armed with my Pepperbox pistol. The Commodore is Thomas, dialed up to add some weight, M4 Beard Plus, and Jai Hair, all from DAZ, and the Marlon Brando cap from Vanishing Point. The outfit is from ADH3D's American Revolution Soldiers and the sword from the US Cavalry Pack.
The wagon is the Light Army Filed Wagon form Papyrus3d with barrels and crates from DAZ's Rolling On. The cormorant is from SRBM Seabirds and Zoe, just visible in the foreground is forever the Millennium Cat.
The water is from DAZ's Lake Village. The sky is one of Flink's sunsets. The jetties and lighthouses in the background are modified from the Oceanfront Movie Set, the steamboat is Mike2010's Paddle Steamer.

WOW! There are some very cool steampunk characters lurking in the darkness here... Not to mention a fabulously composed and executed scene. Great work!
