Description

A couple of days ago I was taking one of my labs for a walk and she found the hawk. It was about 50 yards away from where I was taking photos of the red-shouldered hawk nest last summer. So I fear that it is a yearling that did not survive. I don't believe it starved, I think the hawks are at war with owls. Shown is the talon, shoulder, and tail feathers in back.
