Very nice painting, and the pov is quite unexpected, but creative! I've just watched the video you recommended and left a comment ...The only Cajun region I went to was to the French-speaking islands of Magdalena Islands, off Québec and Prince Edward island.

Once again, ditto Andrea, Helle and others---another brilliant painting from you. YOu really do use highly photographic angles in your paintings---but they're 100% paintings, through and through. The overhead view of 3 violins is most dramatic and exciting. I know violins, and I know their cases---I assume this is one case, for one violin: But the musicians have propped THREE violins against the case-top, making it a "stand" for them. It's a great sight to any musician. You got the feel/spirit of the instruments: Ie, the way the wood shines, the grain in the wood, the bridges, the strings; and you got the "rosin" left all over the fingerboard---that white stuff near the bridge of violin number one and three. It makes these violins real, really played. Then you have this luminous floor---man, you do floors proud! Wonderful saturated yellows and deep oranges and reds. The floor 'bleeds' in energy. And you have 3 human feet jutting into the picture---just terrific. No other part of the human form, just those 3 feet. And 3 very different shoes too---with that great green one on the right side. (And I think an accordion on the left.) Jock, I sound like a broken record, I repeat myself itself over and over: But you are a whale of a painter, and you have the spirit running through you in tidal waves when you pick up the brush. And, as a musician all my life, what you do with musical subjects is just amazing and true. A wonderful piece of art.
