Description

Se accede desde Cáceres por la carretera N-521 hasta Malpartida, donde el desvío hacia Los Barruecos está ya señalizado. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Barruecos The Barruecos is a natural site declared a natural monument by the Junta de Extremadura in February 1996, a legal instrument that ensures the protection of this space in order to preserve it for future generations. To justify the application of the protection regime in this environment many weighty reasons brandished in relation to the importance of geology, fauna and flora of the area, as well as archaeological remains that testify a continuous human presence in the region. This official recognition is largely due to the media coverage generated by the project for the Museum Vostell Malpartida in 1976, he was promoted and placed in these areas by the German artist based in Extremadura Wolf Vostell, painter, sculptor, pioneer Installation and Video Art and one of the leading figures of the Fluxus movement. The Barruecos are approximately 14 miles of Cáceres, in the municipality of Malpartida de Cáceres, about three miles south of the city center. Cáceres is accessed from the N-521 road to Malpartida where the detour to Los Barruecos is already marked. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Barruecos
