It served a family of seven Faithfully rocking each one Now it sits in sad neglect Its days of service done Worn and rough and rotted now Rocked miles and miles back then Saw a thousand sad times And a million smiles back when No longer being sat upon And no one seems to care The porch is now the graveyard For the old rocking chair ------- Thanks for looking & commenting.
