Description

The trees are beginning to bloom in purples, whites, and greens - at long last. This is a shot from my DJI Inspire 1 at about 178 feet. I uploaded a video of the flight you can see HERE. I didn't go too far or stay too long this time. While I was there, a guy on a motorcycle pulled in to the little parking area where I was based. In chatting with him, he told me he used to bring his RC cars out to the lake, but Parks & Rec came by one time, and told him he had to use the RC flying field on the other side of the lake for any radio-controlled models. He said they were nice about it, but I decided not to push my luck too far. I'm sure using the RC flying field entails joining a club or something (read as paying fees...), but I may check it out sometime. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the photo and video. Sorry it's taking so long to get the next page in the T.N.A. story done - it is coming soon, I promise! The truth is I've been spending a lot of time getting used to working in some other applications - mainly Blacksmith 3D. It's an awesome app, and one day I might get to a point where I (somewhat) know what I'm doing! I'm putting the final touches on my new bad guy for the story, and you'll get to see a preview of him in the next page. Hope everyone is having a great weekend - I took Friday and Monday off, so I still have a couple days of weekend left! LOL It's been a refreshing and needed break. Thanks so much for dropping by, and for putting my last T.N.A. Pinup in the art charts! You rock!

Amazing shot Rod. You certainly have the bird's eye view on everything these days. Really nice looking place. Looks like Jacomo may have been part of a river at one time? Cool view.

Saw the video and it looks great! One question... did your Inspire 1 come with 1 controller or two! I seen in the videos on YouTube that one can one to fly it and use the other to operate the camera!..

I just have one controller for mine - a second controller can be added later if needed. The Ipad app for the Inspire will let you point the camera wherever you want by simply touching the display until a blue circle appears, then pointing the camera by moving your finger. It's really amazing..

outstanding aerial capture. there use to be a field(with deed restrictions) that was gifted to Dallas, but later they gave it to a small town. any way the remote planes could fly there. however a developer built expensive homes on the edge of the land. all the sudden the town said that planes could no longer be flown there. the land can only be used for public park facilities. a city council person tried to bypass the deed restriction, but failed
