another of your delicate but sweeping portraits, with this woman's head and long hair taking us to the edge of the painting on the upper right side, while her lower torso takes us to the edge of the painting on the lower left side: The movement is beautiful, from upper right to lower left, and it fills this huge frame with complete panache. Again, one must see this full-size in order to get the sweep of your facile strokes. Her upper torso has some kind of coat or vest, billowing out from her body, giving 'heft' to it all; her left arm (the only visible arm) balances it; and then we take a big leap through her legs, from the high point of her knee down to the bottom of the image, the floor of the image, which all flows like a big musical passage. Again, your line is facile and alive, like the swelling and narrowing lines of fine calligraphers; and one could even see this as an abstract, even though it's a portrait. Finally, the line she sits on is simple and sleek...More of your portraiture through graceful line and open space (the lines move like the wind, yet they portray a human being)...It's grace-filled, spacious and sweeping.
