*Martin + Ironsoul Ok First you need( of course a clear night sky). Then a camera (if possible wide-angle here 11 mm) objective with the highest possible open aperture (In This Case Aperture 2.8) . A High Iso here 3.200 (with my Nikon D90) Shutter speed here i think 25 sek (not more than 30 seconds) if longer you becom starrails. The Place was on the top of a hill. The light on the horizont what you see here is the light of a village a few kilometres away from this place. Normally it´s better if you dont have lights of villages or cities in the near for Starphotography. But here was good for contrasts for the mast in foreground. In my RAW-Converter i only changed for more contrast and reduces the saturation a bit of the yellow village-lights. But last not least i forgot I took 3 Photgraphys (of course with the same configuration) and stitched it with panorama-software to become more Sky. Thats it. You can take this settings also for Photografy of the Milkyway (very popular these days). Theres a few Tutorials about that. Greetings Blitzz-Licht
