Sieht aus, als sollte man besser aufpassen, wo man hintritt 8=) Aber für solche Bilder geht man gerne ein Risiko ein, die Mauerstrukturen sehen super aus!

Great shot indeed! damage most likely caused by French cannons of the 17th century during 30 years war, I'd say. The only weakness to Heidelberg castle's position was a hill somewhat above it within artillery range from which the artillery could shoot down.

It is exactly like that. Thank you. The French troops required four years and several attacks to conquer and to destroy the town of Heidelberg and the castle in the year 1693.
