Description
Similar to Dante and Virgil's descent into hell, I jumped onto what appeared to be a solid sandbar...
Sinking a right foot, with low cut shoe, past the ankle was less than exhilarating, but fortunately the left stood solid, cold... moving... liquid fed from night roosting geese from 20 years before poured across my ankle and into the shoe. This was not the sand I remembered.
Then the beauty was there again... if only for a brief moment....
