I am a developing artist working on improving my abilities to create beautiful digital landscape compositions. Without the help and suggestions of the many fellow artists in this community, it would be a long time before I reach the next level.
BIO
I am a retired procurement professional who has long had an interest in photography and painting; and, lately in computers and photorealistic natural landscapes. I hope to become more proficient and perfect my abilities to produce acceptable work. My experience in art started at a very early age when I would spend many hours sketching and painting. I had instruction at The Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois. I did some freelance work for Flying Models, Model Airplane News and Top Flite Models creating plans and illustrative construction sequences for magazines and kit models. I had spent more than 20 years designing, building and flying radio controlled model airplanes...a very rewarding hobby for me. During the 1970s, I spent 11 years in the hobby of "bonsai"; the Japanese art of miniature trees. In my first 7 tree entry in a contest, all 7 trees were awarded ribbons in various categories. Japanese landscaping became a passion for me where I completed a 3 year project creating a Japanese landscape around my home in Oak Forest, Illinois. I also did this work for several other people in our community. In 1987 I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I currently make my home. The love of the American southwest and all its beauty is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. Now that we have computers, digital cameras; and, Terragen; I'll have enough to do for a long, long time.

The post worked out very well. That is a lot of mutton on the road there. The flow of the veggies populations is very natural, Bob!! Exceptional work on this one!!!

Thanks Mark, Yes, Mutton; never have eaten that; and, probably never will. I'll stick with chicken.

A lot of great elements here Bob! The flock looks womderful! The terrain and foliage are spot on, and I love those stormy low clouds in the distance!

Thank you. It all started with the idea of a scene with a path; then, what to put on it? All that;s missing is a Shepard.

Nice work on this Bob!

Thank you Danny. I'll be trying to re-do the sheep orientation where they are all facing in one direction.
