This is a detail from my latest work-in-progress, a character portrait to go with gaming stats I wrote. They'll be published on D20radio.com's game blog, once I finish this piece. Wow! I'm a Real Writer now! More or less. Amaya is a woman samurai in a fantasy realm based on Feudal Japan. She is the illegitimate half-sister of the current Daimyo, acknowledged & legitimized by their father before his death. She serves her half-brother mainly as a courier. The strange-looking fish in the middle of the picture is not as out-of-place as he looks. Sango is a shy minor spirit who has followed her about since she was a girl, a supernatural pet who is sometimes useful. Sango is one of the 2 major things I am still working on. I have been experimenting with the transparency and glow shader channels in this Daz 3D Angelfish, to make it look insubstantial. The other is improving the poses and positions of Amaya in her armor. Give me 1 or 2 more working sessions this week and I will have it sorted out.
